Forty-Five Ringgold Middle School Future Business Leaders of America members had the honor of raising over 800 flags in Ringgold, Georgia, in preparation of Veterans Day on November 11th.
FBLA members walked to "Downtown" Ringgold, where they raised the flags and placed crosses in memory or honor of local war veterans. During this special time of year, the city becomes a place to behold as flags are flying as far as you can see through town. People drive many miles to see the flags and find their heroes' cross.
Everyone agreed that seeing the flags every year was always nice, but actually being a part of something so special was truly an honor.
In October and November, Brantley County Middle School FBLA members in Nahunta, Georgia, raised $1,000 for the March of Dimes. The chapter hosted a “Coin Wars” competition among all of the homerooms, with the homeroom donating the most money earning a pizza party. The chapter also hosted two Community-wide Yard Sales at the school with vendors donating $10 per rental space. This is the most money that BCMS FBLA students have ever raised for the March of Dimes.
