Competitive Events
FBLA – Middle Level offers its members a chance to receiverecognition in nearly 35 different competitive and recognitionevents. The competitive events program recognizes the topmembers in objective tests, skills events, written report events,and speaking/performance events.

Middle Level Achievement Program
The Middle Level Achievement Program (MAP) recognizesthree levels of leadership achievement, each consisting ofbusiness, education, and leadership elements. This programrecognizes a member’s participation in FBLA conferences,programs, and partnerships, as well as activities integrated into business classroom activities.

Members can try to complete all three levels in one year, orcomplete them over a few years. Each time you complete alevel, you will receive special lapel pins and specialrecognition ribbons at FBLA conferences.

Outstanding Middle Level Member
Chapters are encouraged to nominate one outstanding memberfor recognition as the Outstanding Middle Level Member. Allnominees will be recognized and one overall member will behonored at the ML SLC.

Outstanding Middle Level Adviser
Chapters are encouraged to nominate one outstanding adviserfor recognition as the Outstanding Middle Level Adviser. Allnominees will be recognized and one overall member will behonored at the ML SLC.

Outstanding Middle Level Supporter
Chapters are encouraged to nominate one outstandingsupporter for recognition as the Outstanding Middle LevelSupporter. Nominees can be a member’s parent, a businesssupporter, or a school administrator. All nominees will berecognized and one overall member will be honored at the MLSLC.

State Project Participation
Members can qualify for additional recognition by spreadingthe word about FBLA and recruiting new members to ourassociation. Members receive the Membership MadnessAward simply for recruiting just 5 new members. Memberscan also receive the Membership Mania Award for recruiting10 new members.

Outstanding Chapter
The Outstanding Chapter/Chapter of the Year programrecognizes the top chapters in the state. Chapters earn pointsfor participating in the many activities offered by GeorgiaFBLA in the areas of chapter management, conferenceattendance and recognition, recruitment, public relations, andparticipation in national and state projects. The chapter thatearns the most points throughout the year will be named theMiddle Level Chapter of the Year. Chapters entering thisprogram can qualify for the prestigious Middle LevelOutstanding Chapter Award of Merit which recognizes thetop 15% of the Middle Level chapters in the nation.

Chapter Excellence Award
This program recognizes a chapter’s participation in a varietyof projects and activities. The program encourages localchapters to plan projects and activities to enrich theexperiences of members at the local, region, state, and nationallevels, which in turn helps to increase local chaptermembership and participation. Activities are designed aroundmembership and chapter management projects with a specialemphasis on the three areas represented on FBLA’s officialcrest: Service, Education, and Progress.

Chapter Membership Awards
Chapters that succeed in membership recruitment andmembership growth will be recognized at all conferences.Chapter membership awards include: 
  • Market Share Award – Recognizes chapters at schools where a high percentage of a student body joins FBLA. 
  • Membership Achievement Award – Recognizes chapters that maintain or increase membership. 
  • 100% Class Participation Award – Recognizes adviserswho recruit all students in a single class to become FBLA members. 
  • 100% Membership Excellence Awards – Recognizesadvisers who recruit all students in all of their classes during the entire year to join FBLA.
  • Local Recruitment of Chapters – Recognizes chaptersthat charter or reactivate FBLA and ML chapters.
