Officer Induction

The FBLA Officer Team members at Dacula Middle School were inducted into the Gwinnett County FBLA Chapter and installed as

officers of their local school chapter. The DMS chapter of FBLA was the charter chapter of FBLA-ML in Gwinnett County in 2006. This chapter was also the first chapter tosponsor a Middle-Level State President (Sara Beth Marchert) in 2008-2009. A Dacula Middle School FBLA member, Cole Gower, was also the ML State President last year from 2010-2011. We look forward to many more accomplishments as individuals and as a chapter.

Operation Sweet Tooth

The FBLA members from Dacula Middle School recently took a trip to the local fire station in order to show appreciation for the firemen's service to our community. This trip was called Operation Sweet Tooth because each FBLA member brought a sweet treat to give to the firemen. The picture shows all of the students along with the local firemen in front of the fire truck. Thank you Station 16!

Red, White, and Blue Day

In support of American Enterprise Day, the FBLA members at Dacula Middle School planned an event for each day of American Enterprise Week. This picture shows all of the members dressed up for Red, White, and Blue FBLA Day where members were encouraged to wear red, white, blue, or FBLA clothing. They were also asked to bring something to our kickoff breakfast which was held that Monday morning. During American Enterprise Week, students learned about free enterprise in America which allows a person to start a business with little or no government regulation.

American Enterprise Week

Members of the Dacula Middle School chapter of FBLA decided to give back during American Enterprise Week! There were three different events where students could help support our school and community. On Tuesday, members met in the morning to make goodie bags for Teacher Appreciation Day and then delivered a bag to each faculty and staff member here at DMS. On Wednesday, students brought in canned goods that were delivered to our local food bank (Hebron Baptist Church). You can see some of the boxes of canned goods in the background of the picture. After school on Thursday, the members came to Mrs. Jones classroom for a fundraising event for the March of Dimes that we called, "Bucks for Babies!" Students paid $2.00 to see a movie (Cars2) and could buy slices of pizza or drinks for $1.00 each. All proceeds were given to the March of Dimes. The picture shows some of our members enjoying their pizza while watching the movie.
