As we announced at the State Leadership Conference, we are establishing the Georgia FBLA Foundation. The Foundation will help raise money to defray the costs of students attending the National Leadership Conference, provide scholarships for deserving Georgia FBLA members, and develop partnerships with corporations and other foundations to sponsor various Georgia FBLA programs, events, and functions.
In addition to corporate membership and support, it is also important for us to secure support for the Foundation by our local advisers. Advisers, please join the Georgia FBLA Foundation and meet the challenge that was set by Mr. Woodard. We need all advisers to support the Foundation so that we can go to corporate interests and tell them it is supported by 100% of our advisers. An information sheet was distributed at the Adviser Meeting of the SLC and will also be available on the Intranet. All advisers who join the Foundation by July 1 will be recognized as our Charter Members. Special thanks to those advisers who have already contributed and to Mr. Woodard for being our first charter member.
